Don’t miss our monthly event just for families. Explore the Museum’s colorful exhibitions with an interactive treasure map, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on art project, learn more with a docent tour, take home prizes and have fun!
This month, join Expressive Arts Therapist Carey Kramer for a fun day of exploration and art-making! In honor of Self-Taught Genius, participants will be making their own family emblems using driftwood, feathers, beads, floral wire and fabric. Expressive Arts combines visual arts, dance/movement, poetry, music, and drama as a way to tap into the imagination. This can lead to personal, family, and community growth and development. Through the use of multiple art forms the senses are awakened providing a pathway to creativity, new perspectives and self-discovery.
“Everyone is an artist. Each person brings sound out of silence and coaxes the invisible to become visible.” ~John O’Donohue
