Travel to Palm Springs with Mingei’s Executive Director & CEO Jessica Hanson York and Creative Director Patricia Cué for a jam-packed day of exploration and discovery. We will begin our day at the Palm Springs Art Museum with time on our own to wander their collection. In the afternoon, we will split into two groups: one group heads to the Palm Springs Architecture and Design Center to tour the exhibition, Eso es la vida/This is life: Graphic Design from Mexico, and the second group will visit the Palm Springs modern home treasure, The Fallows House. The groups will then switch locations.
After everyone has visited both locations, we will head back to San Diego with our bus happy hour for all. While on the bus, Jessica Hanson York and Patricia Cué will share remarks on Mingei’s graphic design philosophy and modern architecture in Southern California.
Member excursions are an excellent way for the Museum to share its mission outside of San Diego, exploring art of the people in other regions around the world. If you have questions, please contact us at 619-704-7516.
