The most festive weekend in Balboa Park is almost here! On Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6, 5-9pm, Mingei will be joining in the December Nights celebrations with our own creative twist; think delicious snacks, hands-on crafts, and plenty of joyful holiday spirit!
Join us for:
- Muppet Christmas Carol: Kick off the season with a classic holiday movie in the Museum’s outdoor courtyard! Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Showings at 5:30 and 7pm.
- Mariachi Cardenal: Representing Hoover High School and led by Music Director Alejandro Tapia (Saturday evening only)
- Holiday Stamp Studio: Get crafty with a free hands-on art activity where you’ll rubber stamp and decorate your own festive gift bag. Bring your creativity and leave with beautifully handmade packaging ready to share with friends and family.
- Selfie Flower Photo Station: Create a memory of the evening with your friends and family in front of a backdrop of over a hundred handmade, colorful crepe paper flowers.
- SHOP Mingei: Stroll through a treasure trove of handcrafted goods. Find some beautiful holiday gifts while supporting the work of 33 local San Diego artists and artisans from 48 countries.
- Stop by Shop Mingei during December nights to enter our free drawing for a chance to win:
