February 2021 Family Sunday from Home - Virtual Resources
Masks Part of the Family Sunday SeriesWow! Our mailed kits went fast! You can still participate from home though by signing up to receive an email with the lesson plan, tutorial video and information on how to participate in our Facebook Live event on January 17th!
Bring in the New Year with luck and good fortune! Join us as we create a Daruma doll inspired by the Japanese traditional dolls that symbolize perseverance and luck. Japanese Daruma dolls, often red, rounded, and limbless figures, are used for wishing. The process is simple: having a wish or goal in mind, paint in one eye, work towards that wish or goal every day, and, when the dream is achieved, paint in the second eye. Using traditional clay, paint, and some techniques we will learn along the way, we can make the doll of our dreams.
Family Sunday is made possible through a generous grant from the ResMed Foundation and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Check here for more family-friendly art projects.
