Summer at Mingei Registration | Mingei International Museum

Summer at Mingei is free full-day summer camp that emphasizes children’s innate ability to create and use their imaginations. Together with arts educators and community-based artists, students will create culturally significant artworks relevant to their own lives and identities using professional craft forms and processes.

July 18-22 Sew your Self Portrait with Chicana fashion designer Claudia Biezunski-Rodriguez

July 25-29 Pinatas with bi-national artist Diana Benavidez

August 1-5 My Monster Puppet with artist, community muralist and art therapist Berenice Badillo

Summer at Mingei is FREE and open to San Diego Unified students entering 3rd, 4th or 5th grade. This program is fully funded by Level Up SD, a collaboration between the San Diego Foundation and San Diego Unified School District.
