Community Mondays: CAIR SD | Mingei International Museum

Explore your family’s migration experience by creating digital and printed artwork with CAIR San Diego. This day-long workshop brings awareness and self-reflect on the history of immigration and is an excellent opportunity to utilize artwork to tell your story of how past generations overcame multiple barriers for the current generation to be here.

More About CAIR San Diego

Founded in 1994, CAIR is the country's largest Muslim Civil Rights and Advocacy organization. There are 30 chapters throughout the country with 4 in California, including right here in San Diego. The San Diego Chapter was established in 2007 and has worked to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in America. CAIR works to ensure a Muslim voice is represented through media relations, lobbying, education, and advocacy. Through its work, CAIR seeks to empower American Muslims and encourage their participation in political and social activism.

CAIR's mission is to enhance an understanding of Islam, protect civil liberties, promote justice, and empower American Muslims. Its vision is to be a leading advocate for justice and mutual understanding and stand for free enterprise, freedom of religion, and freedom of expression.
