IN THE GRAIN featured furniture by American designer craftsmen Sam Maloof, Wendy Maruyama, George Nakashima, his daughter Mira Nakashima-Yarnall and George Nelson, as well as boxes by Brett Hesser and Russell Forrester, a turned vessel form by Mike Jackofsky and a variety of chairs and stools from Africa.
The exhibition was funded in part by the San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture and the County of San Diego Community Enhancement Program.
