While Museum Store Sunday takes place once a year, we encourage shoppers to support museum stores all year long. Each sale in a museum store not only supports working artists who make the items, but also generates revenue for the museum it represents-providing funds for education, exhibitions, conservation, community programs, and beyond.
Museum Store Sunday was founded in 2017 by the Museum Store Association, a 501(c)3 organization with the mission of advancing the nonprofit retail industry, its stores, and the success of professionals engaged in it.
