Cut, Paste, Skate | Mingei International Museum

Gallery Closure: Admission prices are currently discounted to reflect a partial gallery closure while we install new exhibitions. Learn more about upcoming exhibitions.

Skate culture has always lived on the fringe, documented by hand through cut-and-paste zines long before the digital age. Join artists from Burn All Books inside the Skate Craft exhibition for a hands-on, drop-in, free zine-making during Mingei’s Free Tuesday. Drop in to learn the roots of self-publishing, experiment with DIY layouts, and create your own mini-zine to take home.

Burn All Books is a San Diego–based print shop and creative collective known for its passion for Risograph printing, self-publishing, and independent artist promotion. Through workshops, community projects, and custom print runs, they empower local makers and subcultures to share their work through the tactile art of DIY zines and paper goods.

No need to RSVP. Drop by anytime between 11am-2pm.
