Make at Mingei | Mingei International Museum

Gallery Closure: Our Exhibitions Level is closed until Saturday, April 5. Learn more about upcoming exhibitions

This month for Make at Mingei, we’ll be joined by Itamar Lilienthal, a biodesigner, architect, and author exploring biomaterials as a contemporary vernacular craft. In this workshop, you’ll learn about a unique project that transforms spent grain into a structural and expressive material, blending computational design with traditional craft.

Starting in April, pre-registration is required as we are removing the 5 walk-in spots. A waitlist will be available on the day of the event, and if registered attendees don’t check in within 5 minutes, we will release their tickets.

Exciting News! Family Sunday is now "Make at Mingei"!

We’re thrilled to announce a new name for Family Sunday: Make at Mingei. While the name has changed, the program itself is staying the same! Each month, you can still look forward to engaging, hands-on activities for all ages that connect creativity, community, and craft.

Make at Mingei is made possible through a generous grant from the ResMed Foundation.
