Stitch Together | Mingei International Museum

Inspired by the varied stitching techniques featured in BLUE GOLD, join us for our monthly stitching workshop held at the George Nakashima table in Mingei's Founders Gallery. Each month, you'll engage in a unique project centered around the themes of stitching and indigo. Stitch Together offers minimal direct instruction, focusing instead on creating an immersive, hands-on environment where participants learn through exploration and collaboration. All skill levels welcome.

February's project will be patchwork. Patchwork is a technique that involves sewing together pieces of fabric to create a larger design. This method can serve both aesthetic and functional purposes, such as creating intricate patterns or repairing worn-out textiles.
