Each panel is unique, some documenting personal narratives, others showing solidarity with the refugees. Kim Sohn and her passionate team of volunteers crowd-sourced 2,300 stitchers from all 50 states and 37 countries worldwide.

Mingei International Museum is the third venue for this traveling exhibition. In 2019, the show opened at the Verve Center for the Arts in Sacramento, CA, and then traveled to the Coconino Center for the Arts in Flagstaff, AZ, in 2022. Future destinations include Los Angeles, CA; Yuma, AZ; Wisconsin; St Louis, MO; Portland, ME; England; and South Korea.
