This exhibition included 300 choice examples of historical and contemporary "arts of the people" from diverse geographical areas of India. The exhibition consisted of indigenous arts, reflecting the character of the people and their culture. Nellie Sethna also contributed her expertise as an author and weaver.
Advisors to the exhibition included Kamaladevi Chattopadhyaya, former Vice-President of the World Crafts Council and Chairman of the All-India Handicrafts Board, Ajit Mookerjee, former Director of the National Crafts Museum in New Delhi and Haku Shah, Curator of the Tribal Research Museum in Ahmedabad, India.
