A traveling exhibition organized by the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia.
This exhibition featured hand, string, rod and shadow puppets that reflect the traditional Chinese style of folk performing art. The exhibition included pieces from many American collections, while one of the marionettes was loaned by the Quanzhou Marionette Troupe of Fujian Province in China. Included with this exhibition were selections from Mingei International's permanent collection of Chinese folk art—clothing, toys, and pots. The installation featured Jack Lenor Larsen Chinese silk textiles.
